Guest essay by Paul Driessen

President Obama frequently says he wants to turn the economy around, put America back to work, produce more energy, improve public safety, and open new markets to goods stamped “Made in the USA.” In his State of the Union address he said, if congressional inaction continues, “I will act on my own to slash bureaucracy and streamline the permitting process for key projects, so we can get more construction workers on the job as fast as possible.”

It is possible but consider his stand on Obama Care. He is delaying it’s implementation instead of trying to fix it. Obama care is going to fail and when it does, there will be large quantities of democrat blood on the floor. If Obama cared for the rest of the party, He would be working at cleaning up the mess instead of keeping the mess. I think his idea is if he breaks the insurance companies we will have no option other than sticking with Obama Care and single payer as an expansion of medicaid.

The same could be said for keystone because if we don’t finish the pipeline, the oil WILL go to China. At that point, we may not be able to get the oil even if we finish the pipeline. He has values that go beyond the good of the party or the good of the country.

I suspect this is a pawn for the 2014 election. If the Democrats are in danger of losing the senate, I suspect it will be approved so Obama looks more moderate. If not, it will just drag on.

I fear keystone will not be built until Obama is out of office. The few backers he still has don’t want it and if he gives the word to go ahead on Keystone, he will have no support from the left. The only option to get keystone through is to have enough votes in congress to override a veto. This is not as hard as it sounds because some of the democrats are unhappy about the keystone blockage as well. Lets see what happens after the 2014 election.

The big problem with Obama is nobody with the exception of people very close to Obama know what his values are or understand his decisions. The simple test is he will decide in favor of what ever gives him political power from the left even though moving to the center would give him far more power. I suspect he as contact with some really bad people in the left that might be dangerous to him or his family should he cross them. There are unproven stories that some of the people around the Clintons who are no longer with us crossed the Clintons or were going to. I suspect there is a good story behind Obama that we may not hear for a long time.
