Local Schools Under Common Core Teach Anthropogenic Warming as FACT!

According to an article in The Union the local schools have hired a consultant from Sacramento to help them with the Next Generation Science Standards. The NGSS teaches anthropogenic grobal warming, human caused global warming as a fact, when in reality it is a theory. A theory that is only supported by some general circulation computer models that have been invalidated by time.
From the NGSS, Disciplinary Core Idea ESS3D: Global Climate Change:

Human activities, such as the release of greenhouse gases from burning fossil fuels, are major factors in the current rise in Earth’s mean surface temperature (global warming). Reducing the level of climate change and reducing human vulnerability to whatever climate changes do occur depend on the understanding of climate science, engineering capabilities, and other kinds of knowledge, such as understanding of human behavior and on applying that knowledge wisely in decisions and activities…

Though the magnitudes of human impacts are greater than they have ever been, so too are human abilities to model, predict, and manage current and future impacts.

Let’s start with the models and end with the “current rise in the earths mean temperature.”


This is just bad science. AGW is a theory that has not been proven. It has been impossible to sperate the natural occurring CO2 from the man-made CO2. The earth warmed from 1979 to 1997, during a Warm PDO and an active sun. Yet the UN IPCC computer models do not include this data, thus they have failed to predict the 17 year 10 month pause in global warming. Warming that has been going on since the end of the little ice age that ended in the early 1800s.

Do you want your children or grand children being taught that human caused global warming is a fact or a theory? What happens when they discover that their science teachers were wrong, that they were being taught bad science. Will they trust teachers in the future?  Will they trust you, since you went along with the deception and endorsed bad science?

The standards should teach facts as facts and theories as theories, allowing students to form their own opinions. They do not need to be fed climate change propaganda. School should be about thinking, not indoctrination.

In Wyoming citizens force their legislator to act, banning NGSS science. Citizens have clout, use it, as your child or grand children’s future depends on it.
